Whatcom experience you can trust.

I've lived in Whatcom County for 21 years and raised my kids here on a small hobby farm with chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats (I’m currently looking for a new goat!) I became a bike commuter ten years ago and since then, I’ve completed 50,000 miles of bike commuting on Whatcom County roads.

I have devoted my professional life to solving large-scale problems. First, as an electrical engineer developing hybrid, electric, and fuel cell vehicle technology, hydrogen fueling stations, renewable natural gas facilities, renewable diesel plants, anaerobic digesters, and biochar facilities. Now, I utilize my expertise doing what I love best: ensuring that our utilities meet the expectations, concerns, and needs of our rapidly growing community.

It has been an honor to serve Whatcom County as a P.U.D. Commissioner for 6 years and 7 years as a planning commissioner. I cherish the relationships I have built with this community, from city, county, and state officials to our tribal governments–but there is much more work to do. That’s why I’m seeking re-election to continue strengthening our infrastructure and our relationship with this beautiful place we call home.
